Universal Instruments Corp. is a machinery manufacturer with it's headquarters in Conklin, NY. It's primary products are electronics assembly machinery, focusing on circuit board population. Initially founded as a safety pin manufacturer, it soon turned to other pursuits. It's proximity to the rapidly growing IBM Corporation got it started on developing through hole component placement machines. It has, since then, developed a line of high speed surface mount component machines.
